The Project offers a range of mental health workshops focussing on specific mental health issues, and other issues commonly affecting young people.  All sessions can be combined with MHFA Lite ½ day, or with each other, to make a full training day.  Please contact us for more information and to request a quote.

We are keen to learn from the experiences of young people who attend our support sessions, our staff and volunteers.  All our training sessions are informed by them, so we are really able to share their lived experiences with you, and we believe this makes a real difference to our training.

Topics we can cover in our workshops include:

  • Self harm
  • Bullying
  • Legal Highs
  • Body Image
  • Common Mental Health Issues
  • Mental Health Awareness

This is what people said about our workshops:

“Thank you Debbie for sharing your knowledge and understanding. I will be telling colleagues what an excellent training / workshop it was. The handouts given to us at the end were very helpful and talking to others and having group discussions was also very helpful.”

“Thank you so much for participating in our PSHE Day on Thursday. As always you put together a really effective workshop that was memorable and appreciated by students and staff alike. Several tutors mentioned how fascinating it was that those students who we know or suspect have mental health issues or deal with them at home with family members were transfixed by the information, concentrating completely all the way through, showing a real need for this sort of information and support.”

“You do a fantastic and important job spreading awareness, offering suggestions, opening people’s minds. Thank you for being so open, sharing your personal experience and providing us with this training”

The trainer using personal experiences made it easier to relate to and understand. Very informative. I feel like everyone, everywhere should do this course!”

We run bespoke workshops to meet the particular needs of schools, colleges and any other organisations who teach, support or work with young people.
