We have put The Project forward to receive funding from the Aviva Community Fund, and voting is now open. Please take a minute to vote for The Project, so that we are in with a chance of receiving these vital funds, which would allow us to continue supporting local young people with mental health issues.
Please click on the link below to place your vote. You have 10 votes in all – you can spread your votes across the other entries or you can use all your votes for The Project! Voting is open until 18th November, and we would be grateful if you could share this email through your own networks, and with friends, family and colleagues, so that we can spread the word.
The Project supports young people with mental health issues from across East Devon, South Somerset and West Dorset. Through its support groups in Axminster and Chard, it offers young people a safe space to meet with others and to feel less isolated by their issues, as well as learning life skills and coping strategies to deal with their issues. It also offers much needed support for parents and carers at what can be a very difficult and traumatic time.
Since opening three years ago, The Project has supported over 150 young people and parents through their groups, and has become a service that many rely on in the face of other statutory support services being cut. Last year it was awarded a grant through Comic Relief, which provides half their funding for the next 2 years, but it faces a constant challenge to raise the additional money to keep the service running.
We really do need your vote to get through to the final judging stage, and if successful, this money could make all the difference to the support that we provide to young people, parents and carers in the South West. Your vote could make all the difference.
Thank you very much for your continued help and support.
From everyone at The Project
